Zemiakové Placky is a traditional Slovak dish, often referred to as potato pancakes. The main ingredients are grated potatoes, flour, and eggs, often seasoned with garlic or marjoram. Recipe
Ingredients:
6 medium-sized potatoes
2 cloves of garlic
1 egg
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Marjoram to taste
3 tablespoons of flour
Oil for frying
Instructions:
Peel and grate the potatoes into a bowl.
Crush the garlic and add it to the bowl.
Add the egg, salt, pepper, marjoram, and flour to the bowl and mix everything together until well combined.
Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
Scoop spoonfuls of the potato mixture into the pan and flatten them with the back of the spoon.
Fry the pancakes on both sides until they are golden brown.
Remove the pancakes from the pan and let them drain on paper towels.
Serve the Zemiakové Placky hot.
