Yam Porridge, also known as Asaro, is a traditional Nigerian dish made from yams and palm oil, often garnished with vegetables, fish, or meat. The yams are boiled until soft, then mashed or partially mashed, creating a thick, hearty porridge. Spices, peppers, and other ingredients are added for flavor, resulting in a savory, filling meal. The dish is popular across West Africa and is typically served as a main course.
