Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 packet taco seasoning

  • 1 can refried beans

  • 1 package soft tortillas or hard taco shells

  • 1 head lettuce, shredded

  • 2 tomatoes, diced

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1/2 cup salsa

  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro (optional)


Instructions:

  1. Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until browned and crumbly. Drain off any excess grease.

  2. Add the taco seasoning to the beef, following the package instructions for the amount of water to add. Stir well and simmer until the water has evaporated.

  3. Heat the refried beans in a saucepan over medium heat until warmed through.

  4. Warm the tortillas or taco shells in the oven or microwave as per package instructions.

  5. Assemble the tacos by spreading a spoonful of beans on the bottom of each tortilla or shell, then topping with the seasoned beef, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, salsa, and cilantro if using.

  6. Serve immediately while warm. Enjoy your delicious homemade tacos!
