Speca me Gjizë is a traditional Albanian dish that consists of bell peppers stuffed with cottage cheese, often mixed with herbs and spices. Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 medium-sized bell peppers

  • 200 grams of feta cheese

  • 2 eggs

  • A handful of fresh parsley

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Olive oil


Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

  2. Wash the bell peppers, cut off the tops and remove the seeds inside.

  3. In a bowl, crumble the feta cheese, then add the eggs, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well until combined.

  4. Stuff each bell pepper with the feta cheese mixture.

  5. Place the stuffed peppers in a baking dish, drizzle with a little olive oil.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-40 minutes, or until the peppers are cooked and the cheese is golden.
