500g of flour
200ml of warm water
1 teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon of sugar
20g of yeast
500g of cottage cheese
2 eggs
50g of sugar
Zest of 1 lemon
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Vegetable oil for frying
Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions:
In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, and sugar.
In a separate bowl, dissolve the yeast in the warm water.
Gradually add the yeast mixture to the flour mixture, kneading until a dough forms.
Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until it doubles in size.
Meanwhile, in a bowl, mix the cottage cheese, eggs, sugar, lemon zest, and vanilla extract until smooth.
After the dough has risen, divide it into small balls and roll each one out into a thin circle.
Place a spoonful of the cheese mixture in the center of each circle, then fold the dough over to form a half-circle, pinching the edges to seal.
Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
Fry the placinte until golden brown on both sides, then remove from the pan and drain on paper towels.
Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
