Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 500g of flour

  • 200ml of warm water

  • 1 teaspoon of salt

  • 1 tablespoon of sugar

  • 20g of yeast

  • 500g of cottage cheese

  • 2 eggs

  • 50g of sugar

  • Zest of 1 lemon

  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

  • Vegetable oil for frying

  • Powdered sugar for dusting


Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, and sugar.

  2. In a separate bowl, dissolve the yeast in the warm water.

  3. Gradually add the yeast mixture to the flour mixture, kneading until a dough forms.

  4. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until it doubles in size.

  5. Meanwhile, in a bowl, mix the cottage cheese, eggs, sugar, lemon zest, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  6. After the dough has risen, divide it into small balls and roll each one out into a thin circle.

  7. Place a spoonful of the cheese mixture in the center of each circle, then fold the dough over to form a half-circle, pinching the edges to seal.

  8. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.

  9. Fry the placinte until golden brown on both sides, then remove from the pan and drain on paper towels.

  10. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
