Recipe
Ingredients:
2 cups of all-purpose flour
1/2 cup of water
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 pound of ground pork
1/2 pound of ground beef
1 medium onion, finely chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Butter and sour cream for serving
Instructions:
In a large bowl, combine the flour, water, eggs, and salt. Knead the mixture until a smooth dough forms. Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.
While the dough is resting, prepare the filling. In a separate bowl, combine the ground pork, ground beef, chopped onion, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface until it's about 1/8 inch thick. Cut out circles using a round cookie cutter or a glass.
Place a small spoonful of the meat filling in the center of each dough circle. Fold the dough over the filling to create a half-moon shape, then pinch the edges to seal.
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pelmeni and cook until they float to the surface, about 5-7 minutes.
Drain the pelmeni and serve with butter and sour cream.
