Recipe
Ingredients:
1 kg Octopus
2 Onions
3 cloves Garlic
1 inch Ginger
2 Green Chillies
1 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
2 tsp Coriander Powder
1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
2 cups Coconut Milk
3 tbsp Oil
Salt to taste
Fresh Coriander Leaves for garnish
Instructions:
Clean the octopus thoroughly and cut it into small pieces.
Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onions, garlic, ginger, and green chillies. Sauté until the onions turn golden brown.
Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, and garam masala to the pan. Stir well and cook for a couple of minutes.
Add the octopus pieces to the pan and mix well so that the octopus is coated with the spices.
Cover the pan and let it cook on low heat for about 20 minutes or until the octopus becomes tender.
Pour in the coconut milk and add salt to taste. Stir well and let it simmer for another 10 minutes.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving. Serve the octopus curry hot with rice or bread.
