Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of Paraguayan starch

  • 1 cup of shredded cheese

  • 1/2 cup of milk

  • 2 eggs

  • 1/2 cup of butter

  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. First, mix the Paraguayan starch and the shredded cheese in a large bowl.

  2. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and then add them to the starch and cheese mixture.

  3. Gradually add the milk to the mixture, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.

  4. Add the butter and salt to the mixture and continue to stir until you have a smooth dough.

  5. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat, then take a portion of the dough and flatten it with your hands to form a flat cake.

  6. Cook the cake in the heated pan for about 5 minutes on each side, or until it is golden brown.

  7. Repeat the process with the remaining dough. Serve your Mbeju warm.
