US citizens traveling to Tanzania must have a valid passport and visa. The visa can be obtained upon arrival at the airport or in advance from the Embassy of Tanzania. The cost is $100 for a 12-month multiple-entry tourist visa. Proof of yellow fever vaccination may be required if traveling from a region where yellow fever is present.
